Ghost Dogs is the dj duo consisting of Jef De Smet and
Peter De Smedt. Next to organising rave parties (A Jungle
Supreme) they share a great love for vinyl and music
in general. They prefer playing allnighters in bars, or outdoor
parties in the summer. The mix starts off with laid back soul
and hip hop. In the second half it moves on into deep funk,

Episode #8: SKAR UK DUB MIXTAPE

Being primarily a big fan of hiphop during his pre-teens, he was 14 when he began to turntablise with rudimentary hardware and vynils he got during his childhood.
Increasingly interested in the hobby, he finally bought a pair of technics in 2002, allowing himself to learn mixing while diversifying his collection with dancehall, jungle, drum and bass, IDM and playing in its first electronic parties. In 2004 he joined Subversive Sounds crew and Metafist, a Namur collective playing Raggajungle, DrillnBass, etc. He also began to be resident of Subversive Broadcast radio show, formerly Basic Breakz.
Skar’s interest for Grime and Dubstep started the following year. He quickly started increasing his collection thanks to the explosion of Dubstep radios, shops and first Belgian parties of the movement. 2008 was a busy year: Crewstace was created and associated with Subversive DJ’s, Rem, Val and Skar.
Skar and Rem also founded Skem, a dubstep and techno project with 4 turntables and 2 mixers.
Nowadays, Skar is hosting Subversive Broadcast radio show weekly. Despite he claims to be a Dubstep and related DJ, he often plays in many other directions: House, Techno, Dub, Oldskool Jungle, Dancehall, Hiphop, Electrofunk and even more …
